Stupid Headlines

These are just some of the ridiculous head lines I read. I hope most of you are smart enough to realize and understand that most things that make “news” or headlines has very little to do with fact and persepctive and very much to do with profit and entertainment. Too often, scientific results are skewed or wrongly reported to make an article more interesting. Many times, the studies that are labored over are worthless. Not every thing needs a grant supported study to find out an answer.

NEW ADVICE: KIDS SHOULD BE SCREENED FOR CHOLESTEROL

I have known about this agenda, of screening the cholesterol of children, for over a year. It was ridiculous now and still is today. First off, cholesterol is not the problem! Never has been the problem! I wonder, if the kids didn’t eat sugar covered grains with orange juice in the morning, sodas and more sugar and bread at lunch, and then pasta with “lean” chicken for dinner with some sort of diabetes-driven desert, would they have heart/cholesterol issues? Of course not. This has nothing to do with cholesterol and everything to do with LIFESTYLE, parents, and RESPONSIBILITY. So they will check for cholesterol and put children on more pills? Sounds like the best idea ever (sarcasm). This says more about our broken households, lifestyle choices, and unreliable doctors, than trying to stay healthy. I won’t get into more detail but the thought of the children growing up with all the side-effects of those drugs scares me. More evidence we are losing the grip of life as a species….

SUGARY DRINKS TIED TO HEART DISEASE

Really? A study was done on this…wasted money to find out that SUGARY DRINKS harm you. WOW! I would never been able to connect those dots. No one should be drinking sodas, or any sugar filled drink. Basically all the fructose is destroying your body one sip at a time. No one would ever recommend drinking sugar as a good idea for health and longevity. I don’t need to say anything more about this. On the good side, maybe some people actually read this and put down their Coke and took a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, realistically, they probably just grabbed a Diet-Coke or Coke-Zero… So sad. If you want to know more please, please, please watch THIS

PREGNANCY BEHAVIOR PREDICTS CHILDHOOD OBESITY

“Children whose mothers smoked and were overweight during pregnancy are most at risk of becoming obese themselves, according to a new study from researchers in Quebec.” Another study that did not need much time or money to know the outcome. All you have to do is look at the children today and where they came from. How is it hard to understand that what you do as a mother has a DIRECT result on your child? If you didn’t know, now you do. Step up, grab some responsibility, and make the best human you can! Once you are pregnant the work isn’t over, it has just begun. Exercise (especially walking and squatting). Eat paleo and you won’t have to worry about it.

1/10 ADULTS WITH DIABETES BY 2030

This should scare you but not surprise you. Look around at others eating and lifestyle habits. They probably are in the seated position most of the day, eat sugar and grains, drink toxins, and don’t get sunlight. That is a recipe for disasters of many kinds. This is not the worst projection I have seen, some are 1/7. If you break it into ethnic groups it is much worse – African Americans will be 1/3. Everyone, put down the sugar, pasta, and whole grains. We are not steering our species in the right direction. We must over come our future. Please, for the love of our future, try to talk to people about eating correctly. Don’t say “paleo”, small steps at a time.

If you eat “paleo” you don’t have to worry about your child being fat or you being a fat mother, diabetes, or taking lots of unnecessary medications.
